Heartland Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of Kevin Wiens to Vice President of Underwriting. In his new role, Wiens is responsible for overseeing the underwriting department including decisioning of direct and indirect loan applications, monitoring consumer loan portfolio performance, and cultivating relationships with automotive dealership partners.
Wiens began his career at Heartland in 2013 as a Credit Analyst. During his time at the credit union, he has also served as HCU’s Underwriting Manager and Assistant Vice President of Underwriting. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration and brings a wealth of experience from his career in the financial industry, including more than 15 years as Owner and Partner of Kaufman Wiens, Inc. in Hutchinson, Kansas, where he assisted clients in financial planning, investing, and insurance.
